BIGGEST TIME WASTERS

Letztalktoday

Procrastination is said to be the thief of time, but what if there are still so many more time wasters.

Procrastination takes away the present time and keeps you the future time still away from you. Worry drains you in the world of thought forgoing the possibilities of taking actions. Some worry for as one year before taking a move they should have made a year ago. You can imagine already how much time that is wasted that should be invested. People forget that either you worry or not time will tick with or without your permission.

Have you ever stopped to think about how much time is wasted when watching television or Netflix? Imagine watching a movie series for more than 5 hours in a day, then you spend 8 hours sleeping and the rest time in the day on social media. Have you wondered how many active hours we have in a day?

While multitasking could be a gift, it could also be a great way of wasting time. Imagine starting 10 things at almost the same time and not finishing any at the end of the day?

Think of how much time is also waste trying to be perfect. Perfectionists tend to spend so much time on just one thing, doubting if it perfect or not. Wondering if it is the best, sometimes they destroy what is already been made in a bid to make it perfect. They could do this over and over again. Is this you? Do you see how much time could have been invested in the learning process that has been spent on trying to ensure that what you do is perfect.

Hmmm, then, there is the "Yes to everything" syndrome. These set of people waste their time by saying yes to everyone and not being able to do anything truthfully or completely. It comes from the place of trying to please everyone. People pleasers spend time on making sure everyone is happy but not sincerely doing anything. Imagine saying yes to 20 people in a day and at every point, you are trying to deal with one yes, another person comes with a request! Then the whole day is gone, and you say "my day has been busy"- the question is- the day has been busy with you doing what?

Pay attention to what takes your time! What do you spend most of your time doing? These are just a few time wasters, it is sure more than just these but I hope you will spend time to think about these six and make adjustments where there is a need.
